Welcome to the Werribee Lions Club
The Lions Club of Werribee was chartered in March 1961 as the 177th Lions Club in Australia. We operate in the Western area of Melbourne, in the country suburb of Werribee some 30klms west of Melbourne, the capital of Victoria.
The Club is actively involved in community work within the City of Wyndham, distributing more than $1,000,000 in past years to charities, welfare and community groups.
We are a group of people who are dedicated to making our communities a better place to live, work and grow. With like-minded people we provide real change and create opportunities in our communities. At Lions we make things happen. One more member gives us two more hands. Watch our video >

Lions Youth of the Year Quest - 2018
The Lions Club of Werribee's Youth of the Year Quest was held on the 18 October 2017, with exceptional and talented students and hardworking judges. This year we had three outstanding contestants from schools in the Wyndham area, including Evelyn Makris (Westbourne Grammar), Harrison Merrifield (MacKillop Regional College) and Selina Spinks (MacKillop Regional College). All students were of high calibre and presented very insightful topics in their prepared speeches. with Alysha Yacono talking to us about “Ice Cream” and putting a smile on all of our faces; Isabella Exton spoke about “Asylum Seekers and Refugees”; Evelyn Makris discussed “ Genetic Modification”; Chiara Bellino spoke about “Climate Change” and while Joshua Cordina “The need for changes in Australian public healthcare”.
The public speaking winner this year was Alysha Yacono from Westbourne Grammarr, with the overall Youth of the Year winner being Joshua Cordina from Suzanne Cory, who will go onto the Zone Final in February.
This year our judges were Jonathan Lee , Assistant Principal at Cambridge Primary School in Hoppers Crossing, Patricia Zammit (Social Worker Wyndham Youth Resourse Centre) and Tanya Knowles (Marketing Manager). Our judges gave up a generous amount of time and really supported the students through the process.
